Discover Life's Journey
In the book of Psalms, chapter 16 and verse 11, the psalmist wrote, “You will show me the way of life…”
Jesus told us in John 14:6, that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
A Message from Pastor Gary
Journey to Life
The Journey Begins
The most important, exciting, and fulfilling journey of your life begins with a single decision; a choice to believe that God really does love you more than you could ever imagine and He wants to have a personal relationship with you.
All you have to do is believe it. Believe that He sent Jesus to die in your place and He raised Him up again. Say out loud that Jesus is your Lord and invite Him into your heart and life. Then watch and be amazed at what He will do in and through you.
Once you make a decision for Christ, we also encourage you to take that next step of faith and follow in believer’s baptism. The water itself is not special, but it’s a demonstration that you are no longer your old self. You have been buried and resurrected with Christ, and now you walk in His power, purpose, and love.
To participate in believer’s baptism contact the church office at 403-526-4095 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Live Your Decision
Once you make your decision for Christ, it’s important to carry out your faith in a plan of action, devotion and dedication to the Lord by becoming involved in a local church.
To be successful in your Christian walk, it is essential to connect, grow and serve — the DNA of Family Church. Connect with other believers to encourage and strengthen one another, grow in your walk with God through our services and bible studies, and serve others while serving God.
Serving is not just about church, it’s about a lifestyle… at your church, in your community and around the world.
Joining the Family
We were never meant to journey alone. Connecting with others and building community is a big part of a healthy Christian walk. God’s Word says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” — Proverbs 27:17.
You can find strength, support and encouragement through prayer, fellowship and intimate friendships. Don’t let the busyness of life get in the way of building lasting relationships with other believers who care about who you are and where you are going in your walk with God.
To be successful in your walk with God, commit to honour God with your finances. When you commit to give the Lord the first 10% of your income, God promises He will pour out blessings that you cannot contain.
Tithing is the first key to financial prosperity.
Scripture says, in Malachi 3:10, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”
Make a difference
Serving others is not just for pastors. Jesus said, “Whatever you did for the least of these you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40. You can touch the very heart of God by serving others around you. Coaching a little league team or helping someone at the grocery store can become a great witness of the love of Christ without preaching a sermon.
Of course, there are many ways to volunteer your time here at Family Church as well. Through our different ministry teams you can help minister the gospel to those seeking the truth found in God’s Word.
Whether here at the church, around town, or even in another country, we encourage you to be the greatest representatives of Christ’s love you can be. Your life is a book read by all those around you and it speaks volumes of the hope, faith and love found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
What Jesus Did For You
2,000 years ago Jesus came to earth. He came into the world in a humble way, to an everyday couple, but that small baby was God’s answer to humanity’s desperate need for salvation.
Because of sin, man was separated from God and cut off from the richness of His great blessings. Yet God, because of His great love for us, made a decision and came to earth as a simple man — Jesus.
Jesus lived and dwelt among us and eventually gave Himself as a sacrifice for man’s sin, all because of His great love. The cost of our sin was His life, and He gave it willingly, so that through Him we could receive salvation and be redeemed, no longer separated from God.
John 3:16, one of the most famous scriptures in the bible, illustrates just this, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus became the bridge between mankind and God so that we can have a relationship with the Father. He is our Savior, our healer, and our Lord.
Jesus came that we might have a more abundant life. He came to carry our weaknesses, our sickness, our pain, so that we can walk in total freedom, peace, power and purpose.
A New Life in Christ
Jesus is more than a historical figure or a great teacher who once lived. He conquered death so that we can live! We don’t have to earn His love and salvation, its’ a free gift available to all who will believe. Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us. All we have to do to receive salvation, is to come to Him just the way we are and by faith make Jesus the Lord of our lives.
Now that you have made the most important decision of your life, it’s important to make a few changes to keep your life on track with Christ. First, make today a day of new beginnings in your life and don’t look back! Know this, God has forgiven and forgotten your past and has a bright future ahead of you.
Romans 8:1 says there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. When condemning voices remind you of your past, remind yourself that God no longer remembers your sin. God’s Word says as far as the east is from the west, so your sins are from His memory.
Next, I want to challenge you to give us one year. Commit one year of your life to Family Church and watch your faith grow. Surround yourself with other believers and friends that will encourage you on this new journey of faith. We encourage you to bring your friends so that they can learn and grow in their faith with you. Join us and discover the wonderful promises and blessings the Lord has in store for you, His child.
